The Shakespearean Moderniser

Created by Jonathan 4 years ago
It is strange; as we get older (and I'm in denial about how much grey hair I now have), influential people from our childhood don't seem to age in the same way. In my mind, Robin (Pez) is still zooming around in his "trendy MG Metro" (his words), concocting mad-cap drama ideas such as “Macbeth PLC” to enthuse and inspire his students. I suspect the car probably (hopefully!) changed, but the personality endured.

We of course don't realise at the time, but those formative years are exactly that; helping us figure out at a young age the path life will follow. I'm incredibly grateful for what Pilgrims' generally and Robin specifically did in that area. The ability to find my niche contributing weird and wonderful technical wizardry to his plays, and the subsequent award received for those endeavours nurtured and recognised my practical abilities at a young age; practical abilities which continue to be applied frequently in my working world to this day.

Thank you Pez; I’m saddened to hear you’ve gone so soon…
